NALSAR gets ₹1.50 crore donation from Justice Jeevan Reddy

Former judge of the Supreme Court B.P. Jeevan Reddy has donated ₹1.50 crore for establishing 'Justice B.P. Jeevan Reddy Centre for International Trade and Business Laws (JRCITBL)' at NALSAR, University of Law, Hyderabad.

On behalf of NALSAR University of Law, the donation amount was received by Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law and Chief Justice of Telangana High Court Satish Chandra Sharma on Sunday at a function organised at Justice Jeevan Reddy’s residence.

Former judges of the Supreme Court P.V. Reddi, S.S.M. Quadri, B. Sudershan Reddy, R. Subhash Reddy, and L. Narasimha Reddy, former Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, A. Rajasheker Reddy, and P. Naveen Rao, all judges of the High Court, were present.

Also present were A. Narasimha Reddy, Chairman, Bar Council of Telangana; Dr. P.S. Rao, former president of the Institute de Droit International, Geneva, Switzerland; Prof. Faizan Mustafa, vice-chancellor, NALSAR; Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Registrar, NALSAR and Mayur Reddy, Advocate, Telangana High Court.

While receiving the cheque, Justice Sharma appreciated the generous donation for establishing the centre with the objectives of undertaking teaching and research pertaining to contemporary issues in international trade and business laws and promote research.
