Naga Munchetty keeps cool in hotpants as she puffs on a cigarette below no smoking signs

Naga Munchetty looks worlds away from flawless BBC Breakfast best as she enjoys a crafty cigarette - right next to two no smoking signs.

The presenter, 49, was enjoying a walk on Regent Street and she tried to keep the heat at bay with a light pink top and light grey denim shorts.

But one thing she hasn't been able to kick is her smoking habit - despite fans' social media pleas.

Wearing her BBC lanyard, Naga lit up as she strolled around central London before trying to grab some shade out of the sun.

She was so distracted by the the cool spot and her mobile phone that she seemingly failed to noticed not one but two no smoking signs just above where she was standing.

You can certainly forgive the star for not being totally with it right now after a traumatic weekend.

She explained yesterday how she suffered a flare-up of her adenomyosis - a debilitating womb condition - and things got so bad that her husband had to call an ambulance for her.

"The pain was so terrible I couldn't move, turn over, sit up. I screamed non-stop for 45 minutes," she said on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday programme.

"Then it happened again in the middle of the night and we had to call an ambulance because I couldn't be moved. And I was just screaming.

"'All I remember saying is 'if the ambulance comes', which it didn't. 'Do not let them, give me a full hysterectomy' because that is the only cure to get rid of it.

"It was like something was exploding inside of me constantly. It was all around my pelvic area, down my thigh, and my lower back - to the point I couldn't turn over."

Speaking to the Independent earlier this year, she says she nearly passed out live on BBC Breakfast due to the sever pain.

She told the publication: "I just said, 'I have to leave' - I went to the loo and I thought I was going to pass out, but I threw up and then just came back.

"I am in pain. Constant, nagging pain. In my uterus. Around my pelvis. Sometimes it runs down my thighs."

Her fans urged her quit her ‘filthy’ habit earlier this year after she shared a post-run sweaty selfie.

One follower wrote underneath her photo: "Please give up the cigarettes."

"I'm curious (not judging you) how many cigarettes do you smoke a day?", added another fan.

While a third person reprimanded her: "Disappointing to find out you are a smoker."
