Naga Munchetty gets the giggles as guest repeatedly farts live on BBC Breakfast

BBC Breakfast presenters Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt were left red faced after a guest let out a fart live on air.

The duo were chatting to James and Bethany Jefferson-Loveday about their 'miracle' baby Heidi, who let one rip during the heart-warming segment.

Naga burst out laughing and exclaimed: "Did she just parp? She just parped! Does she usually wake up like that?"

"I did hear that," Charlie put in, adding: "It's a welcome to BBC Breakfast. That's what that was!"

Still laughing, Naga added: "I'm telling a very emotional story here, please, Heidi – let me get on with it!"

But Heidi wasn't finished there, later during the segment she let off another fart and Charlie couldn't let it slide.

"It's perfect, it's going to be a punctuation throughout this discussion!" he laughed.

In between Heidi's bottom burps, her parents told viewers their incredible and heart-wrenching story.

James was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma before Heidi was conceived and he was told that his fertility could be affected by chemotherapy.

Despite this his wife Bethany fell pregnant with Heidi, but 21 weeks into the pregnancy she discovered she had Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Both Heidi's parents were battling cancer when she was born, but thankfully they are both in remission and won't need any further treatment.

Reacting on Twitter, one fan giggled: "A baby has just farted on BBC Breakfast."

Another quickly responded: "That's what babies do!" while a third fan said: "So lovely to turn on the news and listen to a good news story from cancer survivors James and Bethany and watch the most gorgeous smiley miracle baby Heidi steal the show. Such a heart-warming few mins."

"Aww baby Heidi and her mum and Dad on @BBCBreakfast this morning, they’ve had such a tough time. She’s beautiful, I hope all goes well for them now!"

A fifth fan said: "@BBCBreakfast just watching such a wonderful couple. They have the most beautiful baby I've ever seen!!!!!!!! Pass on my good wishes."

This comes after fellow presenter Jon Kay told Gethin Jones to "have a shower" in an awkward segment.

They were discussing Strictly Come Dancing and the spray tans the contestants have during the show.

"Good advice, thanks Jon," Gavin replied, before raising his mug of coffee.
