Nadia Sawalha and Brenda Edwards were praised as “bare-faced beauties” as they graced the Loose Women stage makeup-free on Monday.
The ladies flaunted their gorgeous natural complexions as they joined the panel for the lunchtime discussion.
Presenter Kaye Adams told viewers of the ITV1 show that the duo’s bare faces were prompting huge amounts of praise from fans.
The Scottish telly personality and journalist said: “You two have gone makeup free today and I have to say we are getting inundated, and I’m not even exaggerating, with people saying how good you look.”
Nadia, 57, jumped in to make the disclaimer that she did have permanent eyelash extensions on, but said she “makes a point of going on [her] Instagram with no make up on” frequently.
She explained: “We’ve got lovely makeup artists who do an incredible job but it’s a fake world. That’s not how life is.
“I think it’s really nice to show both sides because I just think we are 360-degree women.
“We can look amazing sometimes with a bit of help and we can still be just as amazing but not look as it, so I think more often we should just not have our make up on on Loose Women – not necessarily make a big thing of it, some days we do, some days we don’t.”
Viewers rushed to Twitter to praise Nadia and Brenda, who recently tragically lost her son Jamal, for baring their beautiful fresh faces.
One fan gushed: “May I just say how beautiful Brenda and Nadia look without makeup on #barefacedbeauty.”
Another penned: “They look lovely without make up.” And a third said they love going barefaced like the ladies did today, writing: “I used to wear a little bit of makeup before covid but not anymore. A moisturizer and a little lip gloss and my skin feels so much better for it.”
Elsewhere on the Bank Holiday Monday show, former Love Islander Amy Hart made a guest appearance on the show to announce her pregnancy with boyfriend Sam Rason.
