Nacho Lozano is Leaving Telemundo's 'La Casa de los Famosos': Who Will Replace Him?

En español

Telemundo confirmed today that the Mexican journalist and host Nacho Lozano will not return to co-host 'La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars' alongside the Mexican presenter Jimena Gállego.

Lozano's departure had been widely speculated since he accepted a role as the evening news anchor for the Mexican TV station, Imagen TV. However, the question of who would take over the responsibility of narrating the drama and antics inside the famous house remained unanswered until now.

For the fifth season of the popular Telemundo reality show, the Mexican host Javier Poza will be replacing Lozano. Poza brings extensive experience with Spanish-speaking audiences in the United States, having co-hosted 'Mira Quién Baila' with Chiquinquirá Delgado for nearly a decade.

Javier Poza's history with Telemundo

This is not Poza's first collaboration with Telemundo. Earlier this year, he hosted 'La Isla: Desafío Extremo' for the network to great success with the show becoming a hit among audiences.

Still, his new role as the face of 'La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars' will be a fresh challenge, especially following Lozano's brief one-season tenure. Many fans had hoped for the return of the Guatemalan host Héctor Sandarti, who led the show for its first three seasons.

Aside from Gallego and the voice actresses behind "La Jefa," the character that frequently interacts with the housemates, most of the original cast of the show has changed. However, this season promises to bring back familiar faces.

An "All-Star" season

Set to premiere in February after the conclusion of 'Exatlón Estados Unidos All-Stars,' this new season will feature returning contestants from previous editions.

Confirmed participants include Alicia Machado, the winner of the first season, who will join as a panelist, and fellow contestants Laura Bozzo, Alfredo Adame, and Manelyk González.

Other rumored participants include Aleska Génesis, Salvador Zerboni, and Rodrigo Romeh.

Meanwhile, Osmel Sousa and Roberto Romano have ruled out returning to the show this season due to prior commitments. Although, Sousa remains active with the Miss Universe organization, while Romano is set to begin filming a new telenovela soon.
