New York Giants defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches was involved in a car accident last week in New Jersey that left him with a concussion.
‘Nacho,’ as he is known, said he was fortunate to escape the wreck with no ‘bumps, bruises or broken bones’. He also said that both cars were totaled in the accident, so it apparently was more serious than previously thought.
Giants DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches says the car accident in which he was involved Tuesday night happened "less than 5 feet from the facility."
Considers himself fortunate. He's back on the field. Both cars were totaled, Nacho said.

Nacho is back at practice this week and is ready to slap the pads on for the Giants’ first padded practice of training camp on Tuesday night.
#NYGiants Nacho -putting on pads gives him a bigger surface to grab…..always gets after stopping the run…..now, got to fine tune where your teammates are at and trust them to flow to the ball

Nunez-Roches, an eight-year veteran who plays his last four in Tampa Bay, winning a Super Bowl, was very complimentary of his new linemate, Leonard Williams.
Rakeem Nunez-Roches has been very impressed by Leonard Williams. He said seeing what Williams does puts in perspective why his bank account looks how his does and why Williams' looks like his does.

Nacho also impftet some advice to his new teammates about looking too far ahead when it comes to expectations.
#NYGiants Nacho learning from his SB experience – don't look too far…..forget about expectations…..just keep winning the day and keep stacking and everything else will fall into play
