Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Naby Keita is back in training but Liverpool aren’t expecting any of their injured players to be available in time to face West Ham United on Wednesday night.
While the Reds welcomed back Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold from setbacks last week, they also lost Diogo Jota to a serious calf injury against Man City which will now rule the Portuguese out of the World Cup.
Fortunately for Klopp, he had better news regarding the majority of his walking wounded as they all continue their respective rehabilitations, with Keita joining Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in recently returning to training. However, despite the England Under-21s international featuring on the bench against Man City, none of the trio are yet ready to play for the first team.

“I think all the other players who started the game are available again,” Klopp said. “Curtis was on the bench. It was clear we would not bring him on, we just had space.
“He is in training, looks really good in training but needs further training until he is really available. He could be a step closer now after two days. But he didn’t train yesterday so maybe half a step closer.
“Oxlade is getting closer. Yesterday, in full team training but that needs time. He was out for a while.
“Now we have to make sure he can put all the sessions in his legs that he needs. Naby is now in parts of team training. Slightly different.”
Meanwhile, Klopp also confirmed that Ibrahima Konate could return next week after suffering a muscle injury against Rangers, while Calvin Ramsay is in line to feature for Liverpool Under-21s as he looks to make his own comeback following an ankle setback.
“Ibou, not in team training yet. That we knew before,” he said. “It will not be long. He will be out for maybe 10 days until he can start training again. Tomorrow, it’s a week.
“Maybe Saturday, whenever he’s back in team training. He’s not long out so if he can train properly, he’s available. Joel, still a little bit away. And of course, Luis as well, not even close to team training.
“Calvin is completely back in team training. He had a little setback, a hit on the ankle so we had to keep him out, but I think he is ready to play Under-21s at the weekend which would be absolutely great.”
