Mystery surrounds the future of one of Nottingham's waterside drinking spots. The Waterfront bar, overlooking Nottingham Canal, is believed to have closed recently.
No explanation has been given for the closure. The last review for the bar came a month ago, complaining about slow service and the starter and main course arriving a the same time.
A lively spot in summer, one reviewer said: "Great venue, especially when they have the outside parties and events, such as Groovebox. Only problem I have is not enough bars, so it takes a while to get served when you have a packed out venue."
But earlier this year it was described as more like a "ghost town" by one reviewer. "What a experience the place was like a ghost town it might as well be demolished," he said.

The pub used to be run by Marston's but a spokesman said: "The pub is no longer owned by Marston’s. It was passed back to the leaseholder."
In its heyday the bar, at Castle Wharf, was packed to the rafters and was particularly busy with revellers during the World Cup season.
