Police have arrested a man for the third time on suspicion of murdering a 32-year-old mum who vanished after leaving a pub 10 years ago.
A 40-year-old man was detained today (August 2) by officers investigating the disappearance of Claire Holland in Bristol in June 2012.
Forensic teams are now carrying out a detailed and targeted search of a pub in Clifton, Bristol after "specific" new information was received.
Claire was last seen leaving the Seamus O'Donnell's pub in Bristol, at about 11.15pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
Claire, who was 32 at the time, was subsequently reported missing a few days later.
CCTV showed Claire walking along Baldwin Street heading towards the Seamus O'Donnell's pub at around 9.30pm on Wednesday June 6.
But police don't have any footage showing where she went afterward.
A then 37-year-old suspect was initially arrested on suspicion of the murder of the mum-of-one in 2019, and upon his release police said he remained under investigation.
The same suspect, now 40, was rearrested earlier this year, but was again released without charge.
But in what cops described as a "significant development" the same male has now been re-arrested on suspicion of her murder.
The arrest was made earlier this morning and the male is currently in police custody for further questioning.
Det Supt Darren Hannant said: "Today's operational activity marks a significant development in our investigation into Claire's disappearance, which we continue to treat as suspicious.
"We've entered a new phase in our enquiries and from today we'll be carrying out a forensic-led search of a public house in Gordon Road, Clifton, due to specific new information we've received. It's important to reiterate this search activity has no connection with the current or previous owners of the venue.
"The searches at the pub may take several days to complete and officers from the Neighbourhood Policing team will be carrying out additional reassurance patrols in the area to answer any worries or concerns residents may have.
"Through our specialist family liaison officers, we're keeping Claire's family fully informed, as well as continuing to provide them with any help or support they need.
"In addition, we're urging anyone with information on Claire's disappearance, no matter how significant it may seem, to come forward and speak to us now. Use this opportunity to tell us what you know."
Claire was described as white, around 5ft tall of a small build with shoulder length brown hair that is often tied in a ponytail.
She was last seen wearing black trousers, a short-sleeved black top with a grey t-shirt underneath.
She was also carrying a cream-coloured Primark re-usable carrier bag.
