Mystery light leaves Lady Bay man with 'no clue' after setting off his camera

A bright beam of light, which appeared to fly around next a Nottinghamshire home, has baffled a man after it set off his drive camera. The mysterious orb was spotted floating around next on a drive of a Lady Bay property at around 2am on Saturday, April 16.

Rob Johnson, captured the bright light flying around on his camera and posted the footage to a local Facebook group, prompting a series of suggestions to what it could be.

"I still to this day don't know what it was. Many people gave suggestions to what it could have been, yet still have not a clue what it was," Mr Johnson said.

"It was setting off the camera for around two hours. I have had cameras for many years, normally picks up foxes, badgers and cats with many birds. But not the odd glowing thing."

The video taken by Mr Johnson shows the small orb of light flying around near parked cars. It then ends with the light moving out of the sight of the camera.

Some Facebook commenters joked the light was a sign of alien life. While another offered the more plausible idea it might have been a fire fly or insect.
