Mystery dogs turn up at Omagh leisure centre and no one has claimed them

Vets in Omagh are trying to find the owners of two dogs found wandering in the town.

The pair of pups, possibly Cocker or Labrador mixes, appear to be the same age and probably litter mates.

They were found walking near Old Mountfield Rd at the leisure centre and a member of the public took them to the safety of Campsie Vets.

The dogs are microchipped but the chips are not registered so there is no way to trace their owners or breeder directly.

A spokesperson for Campsie Vets said details of the gender of the dogs have been withheld to help with the identity if an owner turns up and proof of ownership will be required.

They added: "We are trying to reunite these lovely dogs with their owners. Unfortunately no one has come forward to claim them.

"They are both well and safe and all efforts will be made over the coming week for a reunion.

"But if this is unsuccessful, they will be then moved to a rehoming centre to find their forever home. If you recognise these little ones give us a ring on 02882246644."
