A police forensic team was spotted entering a mystery cordon first erected last week.
Merseyside Police officers have remained at the scene on Pilch Lane, Huyton for over a week. A mystery cordon was first spotted on Monday, August 29 around a door leading to a first floor flat next to Rowlands Pharmacy and Thatchairs hairdressers.
The ECHO approached Merseyside Police for information on September 2 and was told by a spokesperson the cordon "relates to an ongoing investigation". But the spokesperson also said police "won't be releasing any further details at this time".

And today, four days later, the police have again told the ECHO "there is no further update at this time". When the ECHO visited the scene on August 31 a police van and two officers were seen.
One person, who lives just off Pilch Lane, told the ECHO no one "has a clue" what has happened. The man, who did not want to be named, said: "I drove past a few nights ago and noticed a police car outside Chans and some tape surrounding one of the doors next to the shops.
"It all seems a bit strange because they were still there again at half 11 last night. Nobody seems to have a clue though."
The ECHO visited the scene today, Tuesday, September 6. A two-person police forensic team could be seen at the cordon entering the flat while an officer stood outside. Police enquiries remain "ongoing".
