A baby that was found alone in a buggy in Dublin city was handed into Gardai this week
A woman walking near the Mater Hospital discovered the young child alone on Monday night.
The baby is believed to be a few months old.

The woman made the discovery shortly after 10pm on Monday and waited with the baby for around an hour in the hope a parent or guardian would return, Dublin Live reports.
She brought the child to Mountjoy Garda Station when nobody come to collect the baby. The child was then handed to the gardai.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardai attended the scene of an incident involving an infant child in the Mountjoy area on Monday night."
There is no further information from Gardai at this moment.
