The chief of police in Harwich, Massachusetts, recently reported a concerning incident involving unidentified drones hovering above a resident's house. The incident occurred on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 9 p.m. when a resident contacted local authorities to report the presence of 10-15 drones above her property.
According to Harwich Chief of Police Kevin Considine, the resident described the drones as very bright and observed them for over an hour. Despite their visibility, the resident could not hear any noise emanating from the drones. The report was further validated by a Harwich officer who witnessed similar drone activity while on patrol.
Chief Considine stated that all information regarding the drone sighting has been shared with the Boston FBI and the Massachusetts State Police. Collaboration with state and federal partners is ongoing to investigate the matter further.
This incident in Massachusetts adds to a series of similar reports from other states, including New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. The drones spotted in these locations share similarities with the ones observed in Harwich, raising concerns about the nature and purpose of these mysterious aerial devices.
Authorities are actively monitoring the situation and working diligently to determine the origin and intent behind these unidentified drones. Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious drone activity to local law enforcement.
