Myponga man arrested over alleged rape at Seaford Meadows, in Adelaide's south

Police are calling for the public to help with any information. (ABC News: Michael Clements)

A man has been arrested over an alleged sexual assault in Adelaide's south earlier this week.

Police say a 17-year-old girl was approached by a man on a yellow motorcycle between 2am and 4am on Wednesday at a park off Derrick Street in Seaford Meadows.

Detectives yesterday arrested a 37-year-old man from Myponga, south of Adelaide, and charged him with two counts of rape.

He was refused police bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday.

Police asked anyone with information about the crime or who saw suspicious activity in the area to contact Crime Stoppers.

Police charged a separate man with attempted engaging in sexual intercourse without consent and assault with intent to commit rape in an incident in Adelaide's east on Wednesday afternoon.
