The NFL has announced its finalists for the Defensive Player of the Year award, and there was one glaring omission. While Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers, Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys, and Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs made the cut, the Cleveland Browns saw All-NFL player Myles Garrett get snubbed from being even a finalist for the award.
Despite being third in pass rush win rate, despite being doubled the most of any pass rusher in the country, and despite having more sacks than both Parsons and Jones, Garrett was not even given consideration for the honors. With Jim Schwartz now at the helm, Garrett could reach even newer heights and give the league no choice but to notice him.
