The Cleveland Browns season did not go the way that they wanted leaving their players far more free time than any would have wanted. We have seen players like Jarvis Landry and Anthony Schwartz working out together during their off time while Baker Mayfield got his much-needed shoulder surgery.
Myles Garrett, who continues to share how often he gets tested for PEDs after posting impressive photos on social media, its going to be spending some of his free time back in Cleveland.
This year’s NBA All-Star Game will be held on the shores of Lake Erie. A year after the NFL draft took the city by storm, Cleveland gets another premier sporting event. Outside of the game itself, the NBA puts on a number of other events. While the dunk contest and three-point shooting contest may be the most famous, the All-Star Celebrity Game may be the most interesting.
That is where Garrett has decided he is no longer retired from basketball. It will be interesting if head coach Kevin Stefanski comments as he made this statement regarding Garrett playing basketball:
“Congratulations on a great career for Myles. Really proud of him. But he’s done.”
The Celebrity Game is far more controlled than the pickup basketball that led Stefanski to make his comments.
Garrett will be joined by the mayor of Cleveland, Justin Bibb, former Cleveland Cavaliers stars Booby Gibson and Anderson Varejao and a number of other celebrities, including Machine Gun Kelly, for the game*.
*Unless Stefanski and the Browns step in.
Will you be watching Cleveland’s star defensive end take the basketball court during the All-Star Game festivities?
