Myleene Klass has praised her fiancé Simon Motson after he underwent a vasectomy.
The 44-year-old said she had "huge respect" for Simon after he had the procedure as he said Myleene's body has "been through enough" following four tragic miscarriages.
A vasectomy is a surgical procedure to "cut or seal the tubes that carry a man's sperm to permanently prevent pregnancy " but can be reversed, according to the NHS.
Myleene told her 414,000 followers she saw Simon's decision as "empowering" as she revealed some of her pal's husbands won't undergo the operation.
The star, who shares son Apollo with husband-to-be Simon, posted a video to her Instagram page to document the journey and praise her beau.
In the video, Simon is seen leaving a clinic as Myleene captions her upload: "Guess what I got for Xmas?!
"He said my body had been through enough to it was HIS turn to do his bit."
The footage then changes to show Simon in the passenger seat of a stationary car as he watches the procedure back on a phone.
As she showed his reaction, Myleene wrote: "Fair play. Loads of my friends have confided their husbands would never do this for them despite not planning more kids."
She added: "I put my body through so much to get our son and stay pregnant. The drugs play havoc with you, even the birth control ones, so now I get to give my body a rest."
The clip then changes to show Myleene and her fiancé at home together as Simon throws a peace sign up at the camera and Myleene writes: "Huge respect for being 'ballsy' enough to do this for us. Some men just get it. Love him so much."
After originally posting the clip to her Instagram stories, Myleene then added it to her page and wrote in the caption: "My stories have blown up so putting this here for the menfolk to see that it’s empowering not emasculating to do this for your partner and we respect you all the more for it.
"The drugs I took to keep our son after losing four babies and the toll it took on my body followed by further birth control, it’s such a lot.
"It can’t all be on the woman. In Sim’s words, ‘You’ve done your bit’ now it’s my turn’."
She added: "Before he went in, I cried as it felt ‘final’ (it’s actually reversible) and then I felt admiration and like I’m in a real, grown-up partnership.
"Love and respect him so much. Not all hero’s wear capes. Some wear a dressing and really tight pants for two days." [sic]
Myleene, who is also mum to Ava and Hero, tragically suffered four miscarriages while trying for a baby with Simon.
The former Hear'Say singer has been incredibly open about her experiences and once again bravely discussed her miscarriages as she gushed over her rainbow son Apollo, two, last month.
Taking to her Instagram on Sunday, Myleene shared a heartfelt post about as she reached out to other women who have been through the same trauma as she marked Baby Loss Awareness week.
Before making her way to this year's BAFTA CYMRU Awards in Wales, Myleene shared a close embrace with her son Apollo.
Alongside the snap, the proud mum penned: "On the day that marks the start of Baby loss awareness week, I get one last hug from my son before I leave for the BAFTA's. My documentary, Myleene Klass: Miscarriage and Me has been nominated and in Ava's words, win or lose, we won.
"Apollo is our rainbow baby. Four babies have gone before him. In the time I have campaigned for better miscarriage care for women and their families, I discovered something called Microchimerism.
"In short, the cells of every baby you carry are transferred into your own body and for those who go on to have their rainbow baby, into them as well.
"When I hug my son, I hug them all.
"Each day, I literally carry my lost babies in my heart. In my body. They never leave you. I get a huge amount of peace knowing this," she penned.
