Mykhaylo Mudryk makes major Arsenal admission and praises Mikel Arteta style amid transfer links

Arsenal transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk has opened up to Oleksandr Zinchenko's wife in a recent interview and made a huge admission about the Gunners.

Mudryk is one of the hottest talents in Europe at the moment having impressed for Shakhtar Donetsk this season, registering 16 goal contributions in 16 appearances in all competitions. Mudryk's proposed transfer to Arsenal has become a long-running joke in the Shakhtar Donetsk changing room, goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin revealed following the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old has been compared to the likes of Neymar, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe, with Shakhtar said to have slapped an £80million price tag on their talented winger and the Gunners thought to be interested. It appears that the youngster is very open to a move to Arsenal, who need more depth in their wide areas and are targeting more signings in the January transfer window.

In an interview with Vlada Zinchenko on YouTube, Mudryk opened up on his admiration for Arsenal's style of play and how he keeps up to date with their results. When asked which teams he thinks are playing nice football this season, the 21-year-old responded: "Napoli, they’re playing really well at the moment with some great players, Bayern, Man City and Arsenal."

He followed up by admitting that he checks the Gunners results regularly, saying: "Yeah. I check on them in 'myscore' and know when they’re playing I can check on them.

"I also watch them too. (Arsenal are) a very dynamic side, in general not just in controlling possession but also in scoring goals."

His response hinted he is a fan of Mikel Arteta's style of play at the Emirates Stadium and that he could potentially see himself performing for Arsenal in the future. Technical director Edu is thought to be scouting a number of wingers to add competition for the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe upon his return from injury, which will strengthen Arsenal's attack for the second half of the season as they fight with Manchester City for the Premier League title.
