Mykhaylo Mudryk made huge Arsenal transfer admission during Dubai trip as Edu submits second bid

Arsenal have submitted an improved offer for Shakhtar Donetsk talent Mykhaylo Mudryk after an initial bid of £55million was rejected. The Gunners have made signing Mudryk a priority in the January transfer window as talks continue over a deal, with the 21-year-old pushing to seal a move to the Emirates Stadium.

football.london reported last week that Arsenal had an opening bid rejected by Shakhtar, with reports now suggesting sporting director Edu Gaspar has submitted a £62million bid as negotiations continue. Mikel Arteta wants to add a new attacker to his squad following Gabriel Jesus' knee injury which the Brazilian sustained during the World Cup.

A central midfielder and left-sided centre-back are thought to be on the Gunners' agenda, but they are hoping to complete a deal for the 21-year-old winger as soon as possible. Mudryk has already admitted to being a fan of Arteta's style of play with Arsenal fans theorising that the Ukraine international is already in London waiting to seal a transfer to the Emirates Stadium.

The north London outfit were in Dubai during the World Cup as Arteta led a warm-weather training camp for those players not involved in the tournament in Qatar. Mudryk had been spotted in Dubai at the same time, intensifying speculation that he could be seal a move to north London in January.

The Shakhtar Donetsk wide man was pictured on the beach in the Gulf State as Arsenal took part in the Dubai Cup and a report from the Daily Mail has suggested that Mudryk had told friends during the trip that he 'expects' to move to the Gunners this month. The 21-year-old has already dropped huge hints of a desire to move to Arsenal, including when he posted images of himself watching the Premier League leaders beat West Ham and Brighton.

The Gunners are said to have already agreed a long-term contract with Mudryk with a fee still needing to be agreed with Shakhtar before a move can be sanctioned. The Ukrainian outfit have publicly stated that they want a huge offer to part ways with the talented forward as Edu continues to thrash out a deal.
