Mykhaylo Mudryk hands Arsenal fresh £40m boost after posting cryptic transfer value message

Arsenal may have been handed a fresh transfer boost after Mykhaylo Mudryk's latest Instagram post. The Shakhtar Donetsk winger has openly admitted that he would find it hard to 'say no' to the Gunners if they bid for him in January.

football.london understands that interest in the Ukraine international has existed for some time and the youngster isn't exactly playing down the prospect of a switch. As reported by the Mirror, Shakhtar are said to have privately reduced their asking price significantly and are now willing to accept a deal closer to £40m.

The Ukrainian outfit had previously stated that they would not accept any bids that did not meet their initial £87.5million valuation. Mudryk has been labelled the 'Ukrainian Neymar' in the past and compared to Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, who are both shining at the World Cup in Qatar.

Mudryk posted a picture on his Instagram story, hinting that he feels he is valued at £40million. The 21-year-old has registered 18 goal contributions in 18 appearances for his club so far this season and has expressed his desire to seal a move to the Premier League in the future.

Shakhtar Donetsk's deputy Sporting Director Carlo Nicolini spoke on a potential deal for Mudryk, naming Arsenal and Manchester City as the two teams to be interested in the player. He said: “Arsenal and Manchester City are two teams that have taken an interest but there are also other clubs.

"We value Mudryk more than Antony of Manchester United, who cost €100million (£86million).”

Mudryk is surely aware that many Gunners fans will have spotted his Instagram story after revealing he was 'surprised' by the amount of Arsenal supporters that followed him on social media following reports linking him with a move to the Emirates Stadium. "One surprise for me was how many Arsenal fans followed me," Mudryk told Sedan.

"No other club’s fans have interacted as much as them. Telling me that they are waiting for me, saying 'come to us'. One of my recent posts has over 500 comments saying that."

Speaking to CBS Sports, he said: "I think every guy dreams about the Premier League. It's hard to say [who his preferred move is] but Arsenal is a very good team, very good coach, I like the way they play."
