Mykhaylo Mudryk fresh Arsenal transfer stance revealed after social media hint dropped

Arsenal transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk has claimed he "can't say no" to a move to the Emirates Stadium amid the Gunners' opening bid for the forward. Mudryk has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time now and is in line to be Arsenal's first signing of the January transfer window.

As the Gunners returned to action last night with a 3-1 victory against West Ham, news broke that the club had made their first attempt to lure Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk. It's not known exactly how much has been offered but it's expected that the Ukrainian side will reject the offer and hold out for me.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed the bid was in the region of €40million (£35.2m) plus €20million (£17.6m) in add-ons.

Whilst Arsenal's first bid speculated around social media, Mudryk was on hand to provide a hint of his intentions ahead of January with an Instagram story of him watching Arteta's side in action. The game was filmed in time to see Eddie Nketiah's goal to make it 3-1.

It's understood that the player is keen on the move to north London, with him thought to be pushing for a move from his side. Mudryk himself has previously teased Arsenal supporters with an interview with Oleksandr Zinchenko's wife, Vlada Zinchenko, where he claimed he watched Arteta's side and kept track of their results.

But that interview isn't the only instance where he's hinted at a move to Arsenal. In an interview with CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs, the 21-year-old reiterated the difficulty at saying no to the Gunners. "In the winter, we will see. There's a lot of discussions about a transfer, about clubs who want me. But it's normal," he said.

"Now, I'm in Shakhtar and I want to play in this team. I love this team. I love every guy in this team. Shakhtar for me is my home. But now, for me, it's very important, all my thoughts are only about Shakhtar. But, in the winter, we will see."

Mudryk was asked about his stance on the Premier League and Arsenal. "Every guy dreams about the Premier League," he continued. "Arsenal are a very good team. A very good coach. I like the way they play. From my side, I can't say no."
