Mykhaylo Mudryk’s agent has insisted the final decision on his transfer future will be made by Shakhtar Donetsk amid talks with Chelsea and Arsenal.
The Gunners have had two bids knocked back by the Ukrainian club and are now battling Chelsea to secure the 21-year-old winger’s services.
It is thought Mudryk would prefer a move to Arsenal this month but Shakhtar’s insistence on an £85million transfer fee has put the deal in doubt.
Oleksiy Alekhin, the player’s agent, has insisted the decision is out of his hands as Mudryk prepares to join up with his club’s training camp.
“Mudryk is a Shakhtar player and the decision over his transfer will be made by the leadership of the club,” he told Sport Arena.
“Now Mykhaylo is preparing to go to Shakhtar’s training camp.
“Trust only official information.”
Mudryk will join Shakhtar in preparing for their Europa League tie with Rennes in February before their domestic league restarts later that month.
If his future is not sorted by January 20, he could feature in a mid-season friendly against Austria Wien having last played on November 23.
