Mykhailo Mudryk posts cryptic message after giving clear response to Chelsea 'unhappiness' claim

Mykhailo Mudryk has posted a cryptic message on social media just hours after providing a brief response to queries he is unhappy at Chelsea. Following his January move to the Blues, Mudryk has featured in all five of Chelsea's fixtures since his lively debut against Liverpool, but he has struggled to reflect that display since.

After three consecutive starts, Raheem Sterling has been preferred to the Ukraine international on the left of the Chelsea attack against Southampton and Tottenham. Following a slight dip in his performance, Shakhtar chief Darijo Srna hinted that he could be unhappy.

He told the Football Ramble Podcast: "Unfortunately, at Chelsea now he’s not in a good mood, Mykhailo as well, but he has all the qualities to be one of the best players in the Premier League in the next couple of years."

This comment sparked a lot of talk about Mudryk's state of mind and morale, but the winger quickly shut down those claims with a defiant response on Monday. Under a post from Chelsea after the defeat to Tottenham, Instagram user @yugiizman commented: "Hello @mmudryk10 are you happy with Chelsea now?" The winger responded with a prompt reply, saying: "Yes."

Mudryk has provided Chelsea fans with a lot of behind-the-scenes action of how he prepares for games and trains in his spare time. The 22-year-old is often working on his strength and conditioning in the gym and his latest post seems to have a more deeper meaning than usual.

The Instagram story is captioned: "if u know what I'm talking about", which appears to be in reference to the hoodie he is wearing which says "talent aint enough" with the first word crossed out. While not abundantly clear, Mudryk could certainly be referencing the common phrase associated in sport that 'talent only gets you so far'.

Placing a ball at his feet shows many that Mudryk has talent but without hard work, you won't get far. Mudryk's consistent work away from Cobham certainly indicates that he has both and although he has struggled recently, he does not appear to be unhappy and instead seems to be blocking out the noise and working hard to get back into Graham Potter's starting XI.
