Myanmar’s powerful earthquake kills over 1,000 people, as death toll keeps climbing

  • A 7.7 magnitude Earthquake in Myanmar has killed over 1,000 people, with the death toll expected to rise.
  • An additional 2,376 individuals are injured, and 30 are missing.
  • The quake, which struck midday Friday, was followed by strong aftershocks.
  • In Thailand, the Earthquake resulted in six deaths, 26 injuries, and 47 missing persons.
  • International aid, including rescue and relief teams, is being provided by several countries, including South Korea which is sending $2 million in aid.
