We often hear of unique and spontaneous first date ideas, especially if you're planning on breaking the ice relatively quickly. However, one pair took this to a new extreme by both getting tattoos at their first meeting to mark the memorable day
Posting to TikTok, user @lil.allyway gave step-by-step updates on her Tinder date, which including a walk on the beach before heading to the tattoo studio where they both got permanent inkings.
Their bold first date has been met with mixed reaction, with some saying it's over the top while others have labelled it "the most romantic date ever" and "beautiful.
Captioning the post, she wrote: "This is ur sign to do this coz it’s good for the plot."
"Me and my Tinder match decided to get tattoos for our first date," she added alongside the clip.
While most people spend weeks or even months planning a new inking, the TikToker admitted she "didn't even know" what she was getting hours before the pair's appointment.
The video, which has since rocketed into internet stardom with 430,000 views, documented the woman's full day before her date and then their antics in the tattoo studio.
Before the meeting, we see her getting ready and heading to Starbucks, then heading to the beach.
In a shocking turn of events, however, TikTokers rushed to the comments to gush over the idea as several people even admitted to having been on similar dates themselves.
