A woman has shamed her teenage neighbour for parking on her driveway when there isn't room on her own. Her driveway is directly next to her neighbour's - and there's no fence separating them from one another.
But this arrangement only became a problem after the teenager passed her driving test and brought another car onto the already cramped street. Taking to Reddit, the woman said: "My neighbour's teenage daughter won't stop parking on our side of the driveway. Never again will I rent a house with a shared (connecting) driveway."
After being blocked in one too many times, the woman decided to shame the teenager on social media, hoping it'll act as a wake up call to likeminded drivers. One user commented: "If she's blocked you in, she should leave the keys in it at least."
In response, the woman added: "Right? I'd safely park it on the street - not at a weird angle or anything." Offering a 'solution', another user said: "You could even put up a small garden-type fence to make it obvious?"
A third user said: "Start charging them $50 per day for storage of their vehicle on your property." One more user added: "Who in their right mind would think they're entitled to block someone else in in their own driveway?"
It comes after a man was praised for taking revenge against his "garbage neighbour" who kept parking up in his driveway. He explained how his neighbour refused to pay the $270 (£212) per month fee to park on his own drive - and would instead park up on the road.
But when there wasn't enough space, he decided to use his neighbour's parking space instead. Taking to Reddit, the man said: "I live in a fairly large city where parking is difficult and my next-door neighbour doesn't want to pay the extra $270 a month to park in the driveway of where he lives.
"So, he parks on the street and takes up two spaces when he can find a spot. When he can't, he feels entitled to park in my driveway or at least block it as well as other neighbours'." Describing his neighbour as "scum", he says he regularly dumps trash on his lawn and keeps everybody up by shouting on the phone at midnight.
"He parked and I told him I needed to get out and he said that it wasn't his problem," he added. "So I called a tow truck and he got towed out of my driveway. "They have multiple garages, one not far from me and they have another in all other boroughs."
It turns out the towing company also have a vendetta against his nuisance neighbour as they have come into contact with him before. He said: "They don't like the guy either because he has been towed, elsewhere, before and he is always rude to them and their staff because it's never his fault for parking like [an idiot].
"I told them to take it all the way to their garage in Staten Island which requires paying a $15 toll to get there along with mileage and all other expenses as well as sitting in traffic for two hours. "My neighbour comes back and is fuming, asking where his car is, I respond 'Not my problem'. Have fun sitting in traffic and paying a $15 toll as well as your fees."
