An elderly prankster with nothing to lose has been "terrorising" his neighbours by putting underwear on their lawn ornaments. Sharing her grandad's antics, a woman explained how the 82 year old moved in with her mum so she could keep an eye on him in his golden years.
But rather than wanting to enjoy a bit of rest and relaxation, her grandad spent his time coming up with ways to mess with the neighbours. Taking to Reddit, she said: "My mum's neighbours on one side, who only moved in like a few months earlier, put up three to four full-size deer lawn decorations in their back yard.
"This wasn't against any homeowners association (HOA) rules or anything, and they were tucked into the back corner of their yard near some trees.
"Grandpa decided to go to the store and buy some old lady bloomer panties.
"He waited until night after my mum went to sleep, snuck over, and put them on all the deer."
She went on to explain how the neighbour "didn't take too kindly" to this - but didn't suspect the elderly man to be the culprit.
Instead, she blamed another neighbour and retaliated by throwing the underwear onto their roof.
"This resulted in some multi-week email chain involving the entire neighbourhood association, with lots of finger pointing and increasing anger, she added.
"Other people [were] complaining about vandalism, and talking about how this neighbourhood is going downhill.
"My mum is now trapped between two feuding neighbours, still unaware her own father caused this."
Knowing he was in the clear, he decided to strike again covered by the dark of the night.
The woman added: "The email anger keeps escalating, people threating to involve the police and lawsuits for vandalism.
"Grandpa finally fesses up to my mum, realising its getting out of hand.
"My mum, now infinitely embarrassed, goes to both of these neighbours and has to explain why her elderly father did all this for no real reason other than he was bored and thought it would be funny.
"She called me right after this all went down to vent about it.
"I could tell she was just absolutely furious with him, but I couldn't stop laughing at how hysterical it all was. I love my grandpa."
Commenting on her post, one user said: "Hahaha, your grandpa sounds fun."
Another user added: "Now I love your grandpa."
A third user said: "What a KING!"
