'My f***ing choice!' Stuart Hogg in foul-mouthed retort after comments about his appearance

Scotland full-back Stuart Hogg launched a foul-mouthed online retort at so-called rugby fans who are scrutinising his appearance rather than his playing ability.

The 30-year-old, who has been relieved of the Scottish captaincy this year, featured at No. 15 for Gregor Townsend's side as they beat Fiji 28-12 with a four-try outing at Murrayfield.

But afterwards, Hogg took to Instagram to let his followers know what he thought of comments about his appearance. This is what he had to say:

"OK I get it. I find it incredibly frustrating and annoying that my appearance has somehow taken over my ability to play rugby according to 'fans' of the game. My hair. My teeth. My f***ing choice with what I do. No matter how many times it's heckled, written, commented on, I will continue to be me. Why? Because I've every f***ing right to. I have a man bun. I have had dental treatment. Give over. It's old news. Find something more interesting to do with your lives."

After their 16-15 defeat to Australia in the out-of-Test-window autumn opener, which Hogg was unavailable for, Scotland bounced back to win their first Autumn Nations Series match of the campaign on Saturday.

Scotland next face New Zealand on Sunday, November 13 (2.15pm kick-off).
