Chuckle muscles are in for a real treat as a raft of top comedy acts will pour into the city in the coming weeks and months.
Throughout September and October, some the country’s best comedians will appear in Liverpool's Everyman and Playhouse
There are highly anticipated debuts awaiting us, as well as musical anarchists and comedy legends who will taking part in the exciting programme.
And if that is not enough to satisfy you then there are plenty more comedy acts appearing at the M&S Arena, Unity Theatre, Royal Court, The Epstein Theatre, and at Liverpool Comedy Festival.

Russell Howard is set for the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool this Autumn, following the record-breaking successful tour Round The World in 2017.

Gerry Linford's new comedy brings a new meaning to neighbourhood watch.
Since Eddie took early retirement from Fords he enjoys Murder She Wrote, Columbo and Midsomer Murders box sets.
He is a Jessica Fletcher wannabe - but with a moustache and beer gut.
Following the death of his next door neighbour, he teams up with his daughter’s student criminologist boyfriend to delve into what's happened.

James Acaster Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999
James Acaster thinks a lot about how 1999 was the best year of his life and also about how much he hates himself sometimes.
And so he called his show Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999.
He said: "One time I bought a lasagne from the supermarket, heated it up in the oven and ate a bit of it and it wasn't very nice so I put it in the fridge because it felt wrong to dump a whole lasagne in the bin and then later on I ate a spoonful of the cold lasagne because I was drunk and it was absolutely delicious. It was 4am.
"I then changed the name of a WhatsApp I was a part of to COLD LASAGNE HATE MYSELF 1999 because I had been thinking a lot about how 1999 was the best year of my life and also about how much I hate myself sometimes.
"The next day I was asked to name my new show. Come along."

Little Miss Sunshine is a new musical comedy from Tony Award-winners James Lapine and William Finn.
This European Premiere stars Mark Moraghan, Lucy O’Byrne , two-time Olivier-award nominee Paul Keating, Gabriel Vick, and Ian Carlyle.
The Hoover family has a few troubles, but young Olive has her heart set on winning the Little Miss Sunshine beauty title.
An invitation to compete suddenly comes up, and the Hoovers must pile in to their rickety yellow camper van and travel to California.
