If you think the property market in Edinburgh only seems to be getting more expensive, you're not wrong.
A new report from ESPC has revealed that the average selling price in Edinburgh has risen by a whopping 6.4 percent - with an average home price now coming in at £295,979.

With the average price increasing so dramatically, many first time buyers are being putting off from purchasing in the capital (or simply can't afford to) - but ESPC did offer a more affordable solution in their report.
One bed flats in Musselburgh in East Lothian were named by ESPC as being a 'good option for first time buyers' with an average selling price of £133,693 - over half of what an average home price is in Edinburgh.
It takes an average of just seven minutes to travel from Edinburgh Waverley to Musselburgh by train and it takes approximately 20-25 minutes to drive from the East Lothian town into the centre of the city.
