Talented schoolkids have laid down their own music track – with a little help from some professionals.
Pupils at Troon Primary are proudly releasing the song, entitled The Summer Beat, after writing and recording the tune with local performer Scott Nicol.
The song, which is available for download on all major platforms, saw primary five pupils let their creativity run wild.
Scott told Ayrshire Live: "The pupils were just outstanding in their lyrics, creativity and enthusiasm.
"They wanted to write about the summer and we absolutely caught that vibe.
"The beat, the music, the lyrics, the feeling of ‘Dancing along the water like diamonds’… it’s all there.
"I brought in the wonderful Jamie Clark to record them and he has done a great job mixing and playing on the track.
"The kids just loved the whole experience of writing, singing, recording and helping design the artwork and we loved it and had so much fun.
"I need to thank Mr Paterson and Mr Sturdy for all their encouragement and hard work and thanks very much to the Troon parent association for making it happen."
The pupils called themselves 'The Fantastic Fives' and are the latest group to be mentored by Scott, who runs a talented stable of young musicians under the 'Possibility Screams' banner.
He has now visited five Ayrshire primary schools to help pupils bring their musical dreams to life by recording tracks.
And he insists that inspiring the future generation of stars is what keeps his guitar strumming.
He said: "Seeing the enthusiasm of the youngsters is fantastic and is what it's all about. They all bring different ideas to the table and it's amazing to see things come together in the finished article."
