Musicians invited along to special pilot session in Dalbeattie

Musicians in Dalbeattie are looking to get back on song with a pilot session in the town on Sunday afternoon.

Dalbeattie Acoustic Club fell silent during the pandemic and are now bidding to resurrect it in a different form.

Christened Sing, Ping and Break a String – aka SPABAS – the new group has organised the get together at Dalbeattie Day Centre.

Organiser Billy Henderson said: “This is an invitation to all singers, musicians, poets and storytellers to air their talents and make Dalbeattie The Music Town.

“Joining in the chorus, singing and heckling are compulsory.

“It’s what Sunday afternoons are made for.”

Entry to the 1.45pm to 4.15pm event is £5, 16s and under free.

SPABAS sessions will continue at the same venue on the first Sunday of each month.
