French singer-songwriter Gaspard Royant has transitioned from recording his poptastic retro rock in analogue studios with a live band, to getting more experimental with keyboards and electronics. The songwriting remains playful, fresh and uplifting as he tackles themes like toxic masculinity and frustration with the modern world whilst telling the stories of dark characters. He stopped by the FRANCE 24 studios to tell Marjorie Hache more about his third album, "The Real Thing".
