A pal of murdered Westmeath psychic Stefan Nivelles Posschier has described him as her “best friend” who was “one of the kindest, funniest and so caring” persons she knew.
The fortune teller, who used the stage name Stefan de Guylian, died in violent circumstances at his home at Rattin between Kinnegad and Milltownpass in Co Westmeath.
A relative, who lives in the area, raised the alarm before 6pm on Tuesday after making the grim discovery.

Stefan, 65, worked at psychic shows around the country and overseas as well as reading palms in the Mullingar area.
He was originally from Belgium but had lived in Ireland for more than 20 years.
Stefan described himself as a “spiritual shamanic advisor and tarot master” on his work Facebook profile.
In Stefan’s last post on his social media page just hours before his lifeless body was discovered, he shared a Think Positive Power message.
He stated: “I want to thank a few special people who check up on me from time to time.
“That means so much more than you know.”
Nola De’e, who has been left heartbroken by Stefan’s death, said she will miss him “forever”. She also worked on the psychic and medium scene with Stefan.
She revealed: “I am completely broken. He was one of the kindest, funniest and so caring for his family and his friends.”
She also described Stefan as her “best friend and forever my precious friend”.
Nola added: “We went through so much over the years but always stayed in each other’s lives. Life will never be the same.
“It wasn’t just in Mullingar and Kinnegad he worked. We did many shows together. He was amazingly talented and an extremely intuitive person. It’s all too raw for everyone right now.”
Stefan’s sister, who lives abroad, took to social media to express her family’s grief.
Kathryn said: “Goodbye brother, I’m so sorry and upset about you tragic death.
“I have loved you, love you and will love you. Please light a candle for my beloved brother. Such a tragic ending.”
His niece Ilona added: “We love you uncle. My heart is empty.”
