Man shot dead in front of horrified witnesses by 'four men on bikes'
A man was shot dead in front of horrified witnesses by what is believed to be four men on electric bikes last night in the first gun murder in Merseyside in more than a year.

A large police cordon remains in place in Dingle this afternoon after a series of gunshots rang out on Lavrock Bank, near Grafton Street, at around 11.40pm last night. Witnesses described hearing a series of around five loud bangs before emergency services arrived on the scene.
A 22-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body and rushed to hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen, head of investigations at Merseyside Police, told the ECHO that the victim was within a group of people in the area when he was killed, who are said to be "engaging" with the police investigation.

Counterfeit designer gear was seized from Destiny Logan and Natalie Phillips when police pulled the engaged couple over and discovered a stash of illicit substances worth hundreds of pounds. The 23-year-olds were involved in the supply of cannabis over a period of more than a year, but walked free from court for their first-time offending.
Liverpool Crown Court heard today, Wednesday, that police stopped the car on Fox Street in Everton at around 8pm on March 9 last year. Logan was driving, with Phillips beside her in the passenger seat.
Arriva bus strikes suspended as payment agreement is reached

The Arriva bus strikes will be suspended after a landmark agreement was reached between the company and unions representing drivers.
Arriva has today confirmed that after 29 days of strikes, all parties have come to an agreement. The major operator described the pay deal as 'unprecedented.'
The agreement means that Arriva buses will be back on the roads of Merseyside from 3am tomorrow (Thursday). The agreement comes after fresh talks were held today between the company and the Unite and GMB unions.
