Murder probe at tower block in Motherwell after man dies at Doonside Tower

Police are probing a murder in Motherwell after a man died at Doonside Tower in the town.

Officers were called to the high rise at 4.10am on Tuesday, August 13 after reports of a man with serious injuries.

Several emergency services were spotted in the area by locals as officers descended on the property.

A 30-year-old man was found dead and police are treating the death as murder.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We are currently following a positive line of enquiry on this incident.

"If you have any information on this incident phone 101 quoting incident number 408 of August 13."
