A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman fell 20ft to her death in north London.
Police were called to reports the 39-year-old had plunged from a third-floor flat in London Road, Wembley at around 2.20am on Friday.
Officers attended along with the paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance.
Despite their efforts, the woman died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
The death is being treated as unexpected and enquiries are taking place to establish the circumstances.
A post-mortem examination will commence on Friday at Northwick Park Hospital mortuary.
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime detained the male on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a north London police station.
