Police are continuing a murder probe after the body of a Scots teen was found in a wooded area of South Lanarkshire earlier this week.
The death of Amber Gibson, who was reported missing on Friday, has shocked people up and down the country with friends and family paying tribute to the schoolgirl.
A recent police update has revealed the suspected killer remains at large as forensics continue to comb Cadzow Glen in Hamilton.

Friday, November 26: Police launch an appeal for missing Amber Gibson
Police launch an appeal for information after Amber is reported missing.
The 16-year-old was last seen in the Cadzow Street area of Hamilton at around 10pm before she disappeared.
Concerned friends and family raised the alarm as Amber failed to return home or respond to any contact.
Officers say that she was seen wearing a black jacket with a fur hood, light grey jogging bottoms and white trainers at the night of her disappearance.
Sunday, November 28: Reports Cadzow Glen in Hamilton is taped off by police
Cadzow Glen was taped off by police as forensic teams carried out investigations at the scene.
It was not clear on Sunday morning why the area was taped off but a heavy police presence was spotted for the entire day on Sunday.
Pictures on Sunday showed officers at the scene, with a large cordon in place and Cadzow Street closed and guarded.
Morning of Monday, November 29: Police confirm a body was found
Police confirmed a body was found in Cadzow Glen, Hamilton, however could not speculate as no formal identification had taken place.
A cordon remained in place while investigations carried on.
Evening of Monday, November 29: Police confirm body found is Amber Gibson
Police confirmed the body found in the Hamilton park is of Amber Gibson late on Monday evening.
Police at the scene treated the death as “unexplained” while they continued their enquiries into the incident.
Chief Inspector Briony Daye said: “At this time, our thoughts are very much with Amber’s loved ones as they come to terms with this terrible loss.
“As we continue our enquiries, there will be an increased police presence in the area. I’d like to thank the public for their assistance so far and ask anyone with information who hasn’t already spoken with officers to please call 101, quoting incident 1281 of 28 November.”
Afternoon of Tuesday, November 30: Floral tributes left at scene
A floral tribute was left at the entrance of Cadzow Glen as loved ones paid tribute to Amber following the news of her death.
Police tape blocked off the wooded area as investigations into the incident intensified.
The community expressed their shock at the tragic death.
One local said: “This is so heartbreaking, we are all really devastated.
“I take my sons that that park and go walks in the area so to think something has happened there is shocking.
“Everyone is so upset over Amber’s death, she was just so young.”
Dozens of friends and family also paid tribute to the teen over social media.

A murder probe was launched by police as the investigation into Amber's death moved forward.
Officers appeal for support from potential witnesses as they confirmed that they are searching for a killer who they believe took the young girl’s life.

Wednesday, December 1: Police confirm Amber's killer remains at large
Police confirm they are still hunting Amber's killer after previously describing the murder as an isolated incident and said there was no risk to the wider public.
Detective Superintendent Raymond Brown, from Police Scotland Major Investigations Team West confirmed officers could not say definitively there is no wider risk to the public and the killer remains on the loose.
Detective Superintendent Raymond Brown said: “It is clear Amber has had an untimely death and at this stage we don’t have anyone in custody for that so that person is on the loose.
“That is why we need the support of the community to provide us information that can help us quickly as possible.”
