A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder and with wounding two other men over an incident in Perth's northern suburbs.

Police attended a Royal Street address in Tuart Hill on Tuesday morning in relation to a disturbance and concerns for a person's welfare.

A 53-year-old man died at the scene, while a man in his 60s was found injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.

The third victim, a man in his 40s, had already been taken to hospital by the time police arrived.

The man accused over the incident was taken into custody at the time.

He has now been charged with murder and causing bodily harm, along with aggravated burglary and stealing offences.

He will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday.
