A man has been charged with murder following an incident in Redbridge, police have said.
Police rushed to Goodmayes Park at around 11.14am on Thursday following reports of an unresponsive man.
The man, believed to be aged 60, was confirmed dead at the scene.
Marius Ziugzda, 46, was arrested and charged on Sunday in connection with the murder, police said.
He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 24.
Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime have been informed and are leading the investigation.
Enquiries are under way to contact the man’s next of kin.
