A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a property in west London.
Police and paramedics were called to a home in Station Road, Hayes, Hillingdon, shortly before 10am on Saturday to reports a man had been found dead.
They arrived to find a man, aged in his mid-40s, with a slash wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.
At about 3.30am on Sunday, police arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
He was taken to a west London police station, where he remained in custody on Sunday evening.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “The death is currently being treated as unexpected and is under investigation.
“A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.”
