Mural of Man City striker Erling Haaland appears in Manchester's Northern Quarter

Erling Haaland hasn't kicked a ball for Manchester City yet, but he has already been honoured with a stunning mural in Manchester City centre.

The 21-year-old Norwegian striker was unveiled to City fans at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday during a special presentation event for the club's new signings, after he completed his £51m move from Borussia Dortmund last month.

Haaland was the star attraction of the day, and it's no surprise why - having scored 83 goals in 87 games in Germany Haaland represents the kind of clinical striker Pep Guardiola has been desperate to bring in, and City fans cannot wait to see him make his debut.

'Haaland fever' now appears to have gone up a notch, as a mural of the striker has appeared on the side of a building on Port Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

The mural, depicting Haaland as a half-human half-robot, has been produced by OKX, one of the world's leading cryptocurrency platforms which this week was confirmed as the Blues' training kit shirt sponsor.

To celebrate the partnership between the two, a series of artworks have been commissioned in Manchester city centre, with the first featuring Haaland.

The artwork is accompanied by the phrase 'This is where we grow', nicely tying in with Haaland's assertion on Sunday that he can improve in every aspect of his game and grow as a player.

The mural is certainly eye-catching, and generally speaking has been a hit with City fans online.
