A bargain hunter was amazed after she was able to buy baby bottles for just 1p in health and beauty retailer Boots.
The mum-to-be was shopping in preparation for the arrival of her little boy when she spotted the deal.
But she will likely be pleased to know the shop offers an even better deal for parents, as people were quick to point out when her partner shared her finding online.
Taking to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, the dad revealed his partner picked up a bottle and dummy set when shopping in-store.
Sharing a photo of her find, he wrote: "Scanning at 1p in Boots Teesside Park my partner went there yesterday while I was ill and brought back 4 of these and paid 4p!
"We've got a little boy on the way and we bought the MAM breast pump a few weeks ago. These bottles are compatible with that machine! Still a lot on the shelf when we went!"
In response, commenters were keen to find out if they could make the most of the offer - but many claimed all was not quite as it seemed.
"They scan at this price because they are meant to be part of the parenting club, where you get them for free (one per person with the voucher), rather than off the shelf. Congrats for getting more than one for that price though," one responder claimed.
"It's an error on the till they 1p with parenting club but your refunded the 1p so it's your free gift," a second wrote. Someone else speculated: "It's because they are the ones you get free with parenting club, obviously a glitch on the system."
Nonetheless, several were quick to praise the parenting club and explained how they made the most of the included offers.
"We did this when pregnant although we had to sign it for a new advantage card each time so got one each time I was in boots there's always a good stock," one parent wrote.
Another revealed: "You get them free as part of the parenting club. Well worth joining as you get a lot of other freebies and offers."
According to Boots's website, Parenting Club is exclusive to Boots Advantage Card holders. Membership benefits include eight points per £1 on baby products and free gifts at key stages of your baby's development.
A Boots spokesperson said: "The free MAM bottle and soother is a unique offer for new Boots Parenting Club members. New Parenting Club members can activate this promotion in their 'Welcome Journey' by downloading the Boots App and activating the offer which can be redeemed when they scan their Boots Advantage Card code at store checkout."
