Mum who was planning her wedding dies suddenly after waking up from a nap in a sweat

A mother-of-three has tragically died after waking up from a nap "sweating"

Ashleigh and her family had gone away on holiday to a Haven holiday park and when they returned home, she went for a lie-down.

The mum had enjoyed a trip away with her fiance Jordan Nimmo and their three sons Jacob, 12, Noah, 10, and Lewi, three, in Wales. But hours later she woke up with a high temperature and was rushed to hospital.

It wasn't long before Ashleigh became "confused" and suffered multiple seizures. Doctors put her into an induced coma and sadly she passed away on April 26, aged just 31.

Medics later confirmed she had suffered from a bleed on the brain. Ashleigh had "big plans for her future" including tying the knot to her partner of 17 years and qualifying as a mental health nurse.

Loved ones describe Ashleigh De-Andrade as "such a beautiful person, inside and out".

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, close friend Lauren Guest said: "There aren't enough words to describe her as a person. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out, who would do anything for anybody.

"Her family was her whole life. She always talked about Jordan and how much she loved her three boys and all her exciting plans for the future."

Lauren and Ashleigh met when they were both studying at Edge Hill University, in Liverpool. Lauren said: "Becoming a nurse meant absolutely everything to her too. She was always the one who was there for you would help us out when preparing for exams. We were due to graduate next November.

"She had the biggest and most purest heart and was amazing at everything she did."

When the mum-of-three was in hospital fiance Jordan was sharing updates on Facebook.

On April 25, he wrote: "We are all desperately hoping for the best." Lauren said: "They came home and she didn't feel very well so went for a nap, but a few hours later she woke up swearing.

"There were no indications she was unwell or anything before that. She was taken to hospital to get checked and she became confused and then had a couple of seizures. It all just came on so fast.

"They had just been for a couple of nights together in Wales. Everything was completely normal. Just days before they were sharing pictures happy and smiling together. It is absolutely heartbreaking.

"The whole family hoped she would pull through. It's even more devastating how quickly it all happened. She was only 31."

Following Ashleigh's death, her fiancé Jordan shared a public tribute, writing: "She wasn’t one in a million, that’s not even close. If you ever met my beloved future wife, you don’t know how lucky you where.

"I promise I’ll keep the boys safe. And I’ll make you proud of us all. Till we see each other again. I love you. Sleep tight."
