Lucy Fallon has joked that her 'baby made her do' as she showed off her glam makeover before becoming a first-time mum. The former Coronation Street star looked gorgeous as she shared snaps from her latest trip to the salon on Instagram before welcoming her first child into the world.
The actress, who played Bethany Platt in the ITV soap from 2015 to 2020, announced in September that she's expecting her first child with footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson. The joyous baby news came after Lucy suffered a tragic miscarriage earlier this year.
But Lucy, from Blackpool, recently marked her six-month pregnancy milestone with her and Preston North End footballer Ryan's bundle of joy due on February 2, 2023. "We’re very fortunate that it happened again for us," Lucy, who took a pregnancy test while on a trip to the Maldives, told OK! when revealing her pregnancy for the first time. "We weren’t putting pressure on it and I was trying not to put pressure on myself and then it just ended up happening that way for us. It was obviously just meant to happen."
And it appears that the mum-to-be was surprised as she saw how much her blossoming baby bump had popped as she admired her new locks. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (November 8), Lucy showed off her her goregous new tresses. The former soap star has been rocking shorter blonde locks.
But following a trip to the hairdresser, Lucy emerged with shimmering golden hair which swept down past her shoulders. "It was the baby's idea," she captioned the post on her Instagram Story which showed her glowing in the salon while donning a black and white striped jumper and minimal, dewy make-up.
After sharing another selfie of her new, luscious tresses, Lucy headed home and after changing into a comfier outfit, she seemed surprised at her own growing belly. Posing side on for a mirror selfie, wearing black leggings, she lifted up her oversized white t-shirt to show her growing bump.
"Also omg," she simply wrote. It comes after Lucy teased the gender of her unborn child. Earlier last week, the Blackpool-born star shared a peek into her gender reveal she and Ryan hosted for their nearest and dearest. She posted a snap on Instagram of a stunning balloon arch decorated elaborately with pink, blue, and bronze balloons.
It has been placed around a sign which read: "Ryan and Lucy's GENDER REVEAL," underneath a classy flower arrangement. In another picture shared to her Instagram account, Lucy revealed she had secretly had the gender reveal back in August in a picture of the sweet platters that were given to her guests.
Alongside the photos of the baby pink and baby blue coloured treats – including marshmallows, milk bottles, bonbons and cookies, she joked: "My nephews are still hyper three months on!" She also shared a sweet image of herself alongside partner Ryan as they stood outside in the garden. "R u a boy or girl," she wrote alongside the black and white photo.
