For many expectant parents, getting a pregnancy scan and seeing your little one in picture form is one of the most emotional parts of the pregnancy process.
But one mum-to-be has been left in stitches after having her most recent scan, as she's convinced that alongside seeing her baby boy, she was also confronted with an image of the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.
Angharad Murray, 41, is due to give birth next month and had her latest growth scan appointment to monitor her unborn son on April 4, where she realised her little boy was curled up next to a mass that she believes either looks like the furry blue monster, or the Muppets' Kermit the Frog.
The hairdresser, from Rhymney, South Wales, now isn't sure which of the fictional characters the picture seems to show after her neighbour shared the image on social media and received mixed responses.
The image shows the baby scan with the baby's head and stomach visible, alongside an indistinguishable figure above the belly which appears to have two black eyes and a wide smile.
In reality, the "extra face" in the picture is just the umbilical cord, but that hasn't stopped Angharad or social media users from coming up with hilarious theories.
Angharad's neighbour Clare Burchell shared the snap to social media last week and wrote: "This is my neighbour's baby scan pic, either the Cookie Monster or Freddo is in there looking after her little man."
Her post received over 5,000 likes with hundreds of comments from social media users left in stitches, who were quick to chip in with their own ideas of which character the umbilical cord resembled.
One person said: "Kermit!"
While another added: "That's a Ninja Turtle."
Angharad said she's been having more frequent scans in the lead-up to her due date because of her age, and said she couldn't believe it when she was handed the picture.
And although she found the image hilarious, she's also thankful that some people on social media who work in the medical field were able to reassure her that the "growth" was actually her umbilical cord, as it helped put her mind at ease.
She said: "I have been having growth scans because of my age and this was my second one.
"They told me everything was fine and then they gave me the picture, I didn't actually look at it until I was waiting to see the doctor and then my first thought was that it looks like Kermit.
"I can now see the Cookie Monster as well but at first I thought it was a frog, I can't stop looking at the picture, it makes me laugh.
"I see the Honey Monster as well and the comments that say about the dinosaur baby. It is also nice to see people who work in hospitals commenting that it's actually the [umbilical] cord."
