Mum stunned when she spotted the 'ghost of her dad' in photo of baby daughter

A mum is convinced she spotted the ghost of her father, who heartbreakingly passed away while she was pregnant, in a photo of her baby daughter.

Harriet Orr was out for coffee when she opened up Snapchat to take a picture of her daughter Edie when the filter picked up the figure of a 'bald man with a sharp nose' behind her.

The 29-year-old mum-of-three was immediately taken aback given it immediately resembled her late father Michael Billingham, known as Mick, who sadly passed away from Huntington's disease when she was around 33-weeks pregnant.

The health care assistant described her dad as a 'loving family man' and was comforted by the emotional discovery as she believes it's a sign that he's still 'with them'.

Harriet recently shared the touching photo online revealing Edie, who was six-months-old at the time, with the dalmatian filter focusing around what appears to be the face of a bald man.

Harriet, from Northampton, Northamptonshire, said: "It was comforting and very emotional. I have no idea how the face appeared. I just think he's with us.

"I think it could perhaps be the ghost or spirit of my father.

"I'm not a massive spiritual person but it did make me believe that they are around us, people are with us.

"And the age my daughter was, she just started to speak and stuff and she used to sing, 'twinkle twinkle little star' all the time and I remember asking her, 'who sings that to you?'.

"And she said 'oh grandpa Mick', and that was my dad and she obviously never met him."

Harriet said that she showed the image to her family, who could also see her dad's face.

Harriet said: "We'd just gone out for a coffee with my mum and I went on Snapchat and took a picture of her, which picks up faces to put a dog's face on it.

"And it just picked up a face behind her when I took the photo.

"I looked back and was like 'oh my gosh, it looks just like dad'. I noticed it straight away.

"It looks just like the figure of a bald man with a sharp nose, just like dad. Dad was a bald man and he's never had hair.

"He lost his hair when he was 17 at school. I remember him telling us that he used to get bullied because he had no hair and it was falling out, so he shaved it all off and it never grew back."

Harriet said her dad was diagnosed with Huntington's disease aged 43, which is a condition that stops parts of the brain working properly over time.

She said he was symptomatic badly for around five years and was just 57 when he passed away in July 2015.

Harriet said: "He'd been poorly for a long time. He loved children and I told him that I was pregnant but my dad had Huntington's disease, so his speech deteriorated massively.

"And I remember the day I told him that I was pregnant and I said to him 'I don't think you quite understand what I'm saying do you?'.

"He said to me, 'I do, you're pregnant'. I could understand it as clear as day. He was in a care home at the end and he'd carry around the scan picture with him. He was a loving family man."
