Mum stunned by Aldi worker's gift after she 'popped in' for a shop

A nan grieving the loss of her mum had her day turned around at an Aldi store.

The woman visited the Clock Face branch of Aldi, and was taken aback by the actions of one of the staff.

The ECHO has previously reported on the staff at this Aldi, and one particularly popular member of staff named Paul who has been praised for his kindness many times.

The latest shopper to comment on Paul's behaviour took to Facebook to tell the story.

In the post, the shopper said: "I just wanted to give a shout out to the lovely guy Paul who works in the Clock Face Aldi.

"I know he's been mentioned on this site before but I popped in there for a few things today and he presented me with the most lovely bunch of flowers because he had heard I'd just become a Nana for the first time after losing my own Mum a few months ago.

"Paul you are the most kind and lovely man not only to me but all your customers ( including my late Mum)....if there were more 'Pauls' in the world it would be a far nicer place."

Several shoppers took to the comments to share more tales of Paul's kindness.

One comment said: "He is absolutely lovely. I forgot my purse once was getting a few bits but he put the money in for me. Obviously I went back with the money but so kind of him."

Another shopper said: "Paul is such a lovely kind-hearted person who deserves recognition for his services as an outstanding Store Assistant at Aldi...he goes above and beyond in his job role."
