A mum surprised her daughter with bottles of Prime after she had been getting up at 6am for 'weeks' to try and buy her child the sold-out energy drink. The beverage range launched by social media superstars KSI and Logan Paul has been flying off the shelves after launching in the UK back in June.
Lisa Smith, 42, woke up for three weeks at 6am to visit her local Asda in the hunt for some of the highly coveted drink for her nine-year-old. The £2 energy beverage has been a hit since its launch with kids and teenagers desperate to get their hands on a bottle.
So much so, that the high demand of the product has led to resellers cashing in on the product and selling it well above the £2 RRP. Some bottles of the drink, which includes flavours such as Blue Raspberry and Tropical Punch, have been listed on sites such as eBay for £10,000.
After weeks of searching, however, Lisa finally managed to get her hands on a couple of bottles of Prime during a restock at 6:45am. She then took the goodies home to surprise her daughter, Jessie, reports the Manchester Evening News.
In the video, Jessie is wearing an eye-mask and Lisa asks her to guess the object her mum had purchased for her. Upon taking the mask off, the nine-year old is thrilled to see she has finally got the drink she wanted.
Lisa said: "I wanted to make it a big deal – I wanted to shock her. It’s what you do for your kids. I was just beaming with pride with the way she reacted.
"She'd given up looking - she said she was going to put it on her list for Santa!
"She just thought I was going to work. She never knew that I was going to get them. I was always going to surprise her with them."
KSI has since tweeted about the mother's surprise saying: "This is honestly one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen."
Lisa responded to the Tweet from the YouTuber stating: "I found out that KSI had tweeted about it, and I can't wait to tell Jessie about that too!"
